Kurkure is a kind of extruded snacks, very crunchy and great in taste. Kurkure is made by extrusion process. The  corn grits are moisturized in a vertical mixer with water, oil then feed to the Rotary die Extruder. In the extruder, due to excess heat and pressure from the screws the meal gets heated and the moisture content gets reduced. The meal passes through the die and gets cut by the cutting knifes into required lengths. The Kurkure is fried in cooking oil and then cooled before flavoring. Seasonings are sprayed on the Kurkure to improve their taste.

The corn grits is the basic raw material in the snacks production. The grits is put in the mixer where the water is added and then is conveyed through the screw conveyor till the extruder’s feeder. In the extruder we will get the extruded product in the desired shape quickly. After dryer or fryer which depend on local taste, nik naks will be seasoned with cheese, chilli. It is a popular snacks in many countries.
